Issue 10 & DVD Launch Party

It's that time of year again, the files are off to the printer, and we finally have the winter issue on the way. We thought we'd do something a bit different for a launch this time, particularly as we have the DVD on sale at the same time, so we're off over to Adelaide. 

As usual, it's all very informal with no great planning involved. The guys n gals at Auto Transformers in Parafield Gardens have kindly let us have the event at their place. There is plenty of space to bring a car, bike, or other cool machine that you'd like to bring along. Even if the weather's not looking to flash, there's lots of indoor space so don't be put off.

There may be a food van there, but that is yet to be confirmed. We can confirm that there will be cool cars, good music, and awesome people, so please come along and say hi. 

As a total coincidence, it's also editor Luke's birthday that day so there will most likely be a few quiet (ahem) drinks in the evening in Adelaide somewhere.

Breakthrough for USA & Canada Customers

I know for a fact that there are many potential customers in North America who don't make an order because the shipping is too high. We totally get that, and it frustrates us how much Australia Post charge too, but it's out of our hands.

That's why we're excited to say that we have had a breakthrough for you guys in the form of our new Canadian buddies at Shift & Drive. 

Their accents are kind of funny, but they have a passion and commitment to partnering up with us that we can live with that.. Just kidding guys you're awesome. 

Shift & Drive have just launched a slick new site, and they have set up an online shop within it. They currently (yes, right now) have back issue stocks for issues 06, 07, 08 & 09 and they will have issue 10 at the same time as it launches here in Australia. 

So, no more long waiting times and no more same-cost-as-the-mag shipping fees. Of course, it's still not the same price as a local Australian customer buying it, but cut us some slack, as this is a vast improvement on ordering direct from us. 

So if you're in the USA or Canada and want to subscribe to Fuel Magazine, or grab a copy or two, these guys are your new contact. Bookmark their site to keep an eye for new issues and updates.. they'll even be stocking the Fuel Tank TV DVD at the same time that it releases over here. Pretty cool, yes?

You've probaly niticed there aren't too many posts between girl fridays recently. Yep, we've been flat out getting the new issue ready. As soon as it's wrapped up this weekend we'll be back with more blogging. 

Anyway, I can't see any reason to complain.. GF is still running regular as clockwork.
